CEOs Laying Off Workers Instead of Taking Pay Cut

Earlier today I made a post and saw the banner that advertised a game in which you could see the salaries of the CEOs who are choosing to lay off their workers instead of taking pay cuts. I do not know what I would do if I were a CEO, but I do think it is at least somewhat sad that more CEOs are not giving up some of their pay in order to keep some of their workers on the job. It would be nice if more CEOs cut at least a small portion of their pay in order to keep a few workers working. It seems that would actually help the economy. If more people are working then there is more money going into the economy. It seems then that the economy would get better.

It's intelligent, caring thoughts like those you expressed that prevent you from making it really big. You have to be selfish, cut throat, and take care of yourself and your buds first above all else if you expect to make it big in today's corporate world.

You want CEOs to suffer with a pay cut to keep others on the job so more money flows into our hurting economy? What about the new Mercedes? What about the house at Martha's Vineyard? (It hasn't been redecorated since Buffy's 4th of July party last year...you don't expect her to be embarrassed with the same decor for this year's party, do you?)
