Chik-Fil-A Supporting Teabaggers
offers a free medium iced tea with any purchase.

I'd boycott Chik-Fil-A, but haven't eaten at one for decades.

3. Chik=Fil=A - Closed on Sundays
That should pretty much tell you what side of the fence they're on. How many large corporate run fast food chains are closed on Sunday?

16. A perfect metaphor for the confusion of the Republican party, when you think about it
On the one hand, closing on Sundays makes a statement that there are some things more important to them than money. On the other hand, they're supporting a protest whose stated agenda (its real agenda is another matter) is all about the love of money, supposedly the root of all evil, and a refusal to render unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar.

4. Are you sure?
There are a lot of businesses offering freebies to people who are filing their taxes today. Faux News is attempting to conflate those offers with the teabagger protests.

19. Perhaps
But I would prefer something more substantial as proof. Don't get me wrong, I'm not fan of Chick-Fil-A's religious bent but there are in fact, many foodie-type businesses offering freebies to people paying taxes today. And, as I said, Faux News is conflating those offers with the tea parties.

5. They hand out religious and/or "patriotic" propoganda with their kids meals.
Stuff like a Christianized version of Johnny Appleseed or Paul Bunyan.

Good lemonaide, though. Being vegetarian, it's all I can eat there. :)

There's waffle fries, cole slaw, fruit and that carrot raisin stuff. :P

I like Chick-fil-a, it's not like they try to hide that they're a Christian right leaning business.

It's one of the dining halls at my university, covered by my meal plan. I love the sandwiches.

No more Chik-Fil-A's for me.

9. Yeah...this does suck.
I'd given the place credit for staying closed on Sundays. I never begrudged them for being a very "Christian" organization but to support this farce of a protest? sad.

12. Not surprising....
I totally support the right of Chik-Fil-A to be closed on Sunday if they want, and from what I hear they have a pretty good program for supporting employees who are going to college.

But they CEO is a fundamentalist Christian, so I'm not surprised at this.

Kinda lame gesture, though- tea is probably the cheapest thing to give away after all.

the teabaggers are trying to act like somehow these companies are doing it for them..

22. Christian Taliban Chicken
Best damn chicken sandwich in the world, there is one a five minute walk from where I work, and I fight the urge to go there all the time. I just can't spend MY little bit of money with a company that would sell out our freedoms. No Christo-taliban chicken for me, not even waffle fries.

26. According to smartmoney.com
Chick-fil-A
Visit a participating restaurant April 15 and hang onto your receipt. The “Tax Relief Day Special” lets you return before April 30 to receive the same order for free.

BTW, I just went to my local Chick-fil-a and they had no signage in support of the Tea Day Events.

27. Last time I had a chik-fil-A I washed it down with an Orange Julius.
Rather surprising to hear that either of them are still around.

Say, anyone know what the hot new games are for the Atari 2600? And whether Circus of the Stars has the trapeze again this year?
