How much media attention did the numerous anti-war protests get during Bush's term?
You know, the ones most of us went to that were attended by tens of thousands of people?

Did any major media give it the attention these tea parties are getting today?

I'm at work but from what I read here it looks like at least CNN as well as Faux are covering this non-stop.

Liberal media by fucking ass!

3. I do recall that there would be short pieces about them the day they happened
and C-Span did cover them if they were in DC.

But honestly, I'm so pissed off about this. It's crazy.

6. these teabagging protests are being fueled by the rich and
they are using these people for their own selfish greedy needs, this is to give the rich tax cuts, don't these protestors realize that? I will answer that, NO. They are being manipulated period.

of the CNN building where we marched to. The CNN people all pulled down their shades.

12. Absolutely none.
Some C-Span coverage, and Free Speech and Link TV. And of course, sites like DU.

took part in some too. It was so much fun, and so heartwarming to see all the people who thought and felt the way I did. ("mostly crickets," haha)

I stopped watching TV (except for in the kitchen) is because it stopped watching me.

15. At least C-SPAN did its part
They covered pretty much all of one anti-war rally in DC at which Chumbawamba performed their "suppressed" version of Jacob's Ladder.

There's some good, patient people at C-SPAN. Even Brian Lamb is willing to hear me out once in a while. :)

10. Practically none, comparatively
Millions of people all over the world protested before Bush invaded Iraq. Hardly a peep from the corporate media.

did I go home from a protest -- and in SF, they were HUGE -- and tune into the national/local statiosn to see what was reported only to find the shortest, most dismissive of mentions. :(

17. That'd be a big fat absolute ZERO, Beaverhausen.
I'd call my mom from the 2005, when there was half a million down in DC . . . "Nothing. It's only on the local news".

Go ahead conservaturds . . . I believe you were saying something funny about "liberal media" . . .

18. That's all I can think of, too. I remember in September 2004 when
millions of people all over country (and the world!) marched. C-SPAN covered it live. That was it. No replay. No other coverage. Like it never happened.

19. And while we're at it, where are the 'Free Speech Zones'
behind chain link fences? Are these protesters allowed to gather freely? How can this be, when the past eight years were "free" and today we are "fascist?"

ohohoh you all will love this Tom Tancredo was to give a spew err speech at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill last night about immigration, whatever. I forget all but the salient point the students booed and protested until he canceled and left the campus. Cut and run just like he did during Viet Nam when he filed with the draft board that he was depressed, so what another selfservative who gets out of his responsibilities to the rest of the country, but insists that us poor folk have to scacrifice our
