Definitely check this out. Watch NC and FL turn bright red (=heavy job loss) right before the election. That, as much as anything else, may explain why we were able to turn them Blue.

Boone, Searcy, and Newton Counties in Arkansas are grey, implying no job gain or loss. Could be one reason the area went McCain.

2. Interesting. Note the explosion of red in November 2008.

Coincides with the Bu$hco cover-up of the economy falling apart. Red, on this map, could equate to blue at the polls in 2010. South Carolina is #2 in the nation in unemployment rates, behind #1 Michigan. Even the rabid right-wing BoJos in upstate South Carolina are fed up with Goobernor Sanford's grand-standing and political posturing with the lives of the working class.
