Wanna bet that number is higher than ANY participant at ANY teabagging event?

They also gave over $170,000 to charity.... including a hefty amount to the Catholic Relief Fund.

Their income was $2.7 million... Over $2.5 of it from book sales.

1. So he made 2.5 mil on books, and gave 0.17 to charity? Shrubbie gave 100% of his book sales away.

Oh, wait, he's the only ex-president who couldn't even get a book deal, so that's 100% of zero that he gives to charity.

Never mind.

9. 850,000 is way more than 0.17 of 2,500,000 - more like 30+%

3. I would LOVE to pay 850K in taxes
I would love to have enough money to pay that much and be able to donate 170K to charity.

I paid less this year in taxes than I've ever paid in my life, becasue I made less than I have ever made. It's dismal.

4. Presidents, cabinet members, and congress people shouldn't be allowed to profit from book income
while they're in office. In my opinion, that is.

8. Not profiting from book sales only applies to prisoners
Not sure why politicians shouldn't be able to profit from a book they wrote.

10. So, they can't write books?
I don't think that is very reasonable. As long as they pay the taxes on their book profits, they should be able to write as many books as they want to. I would be interesting in knowing why you would propose this.

6. Yeah, President Obama is a
good citizen. Works hard and pays his share of taxes for our country without teabagging, whining, and making up shit.
