1. I read that Paul Potts had record contracts in 15 countries
I think Susan Boyles will match if not exceed that.

2. The video has been viewed more than
9 million times since April 11. Not to mention all the other videos of the same performance.
I love it when the underdog wins.

Andrew Johnson is amazing too.

6. I just watched Andrew Johnston's youtube video
what happens when he gets older, won't his voice change? That could be devastating for him.

He does have a wonderful voice.

3. She truly is a gifted singer I hope all the best for her, I also like Elaine Page but I think Susan
may be better. What a happy story so far.

9. I hope so too...
but as silly as it seems to worry about a stranger.... she seems like such a kind and gentle person, and fame is not an easy thing. I hope her success will bring her happiness without the major baggage it can often include.

I have watched her video about 10 times since yesterday. I think what touched me most was taking care of her mom. My mom didn't live to such an old age, but I did spend a few years caring for her as her health declined, so I can really relate to that... and to her not wanting to sing after her mom died. I stopped caring about life when my mom died. I basically did the minimum it took to get by for the next few years. I know how paralyzing that can be. I have so much respect for Susan for acting on this for her mom. I have things I only did to honor my mom as well.

I hope Susan will be appreciated around the world for her beautiful voice and her amazing and generous heart. But most of all, I just hope she will be happy.

:loveya: Susan :loveya:

10. I thought about how it might be for her as her circumstances change....
I think she will be fine, from the little bit I saw of her, she has a lot of spunk and, from what I read, she would have to be tough to overcome the kind of bullying she received when she was younger and have the attitude she has.

She, like you, put her priorities on hold to care for her mother and that gives one, imo, a certain depth of understanding of what is really important and that would help her.

I have the utmost respect for those, like you and Susan, who put their lives on hold to care for others, it demonstrates a wonderful depth of character.
