I got to hand it to them - as insane as they are, they pulled it off....you've gotta admit that.

They're pissed and they started a movement. It's only going to grow.

Do we sit back and watch them and complain and talk about what a bunch of assholes they are, because afterall we won the election and they need to get over it.

Or do we counter with a movement of our own?

3. It might grow from 2% of voters to 2.1% of voters
And that's with corporate support.

Not anything to lose sleep over.

For four years, anyway. Let 'em whine.

7. When I sit on the toilet I "start a movement."
It doesn't mean that I accomplish anything important to anyone but me.

Heh, heh!!!

And what those bozos accomplished is about the same, materially, as what you or I manage in the privacy of our own "crapoirs!"

10. If that was their last word, yeah. I've heard more eloquence from babies.
That was an unfocused display of anger on a day when people are always expressing anger. It was poorly planned, and poorly executed. Without a clear agenda of which way to go, it was a useless exercise.

The best thing for us would be if this did stick around. It may have been started by the Republicans, but there was honest anger in their, too, and those folk aren't going to like the Republicans any better than the Democrats once they try to organize and actually affect change. It will wind up like the Perot movement of the 90s--noisy but impotent, and ultimately ineffectual. It will split the anger at the Democrats between the Republicans and the new party/movement, and we will benefit.

This won't help the Republicans, it was just masturbation on their part. It might hurt them. Either way, I think sitting back and mocking their poorly spelled signs is our best response. That, and waiting to see what Obama's plans do for the economy. If he succeeds, people will notice the economy doing better and their taxes being lower, and they will ignore the Republicans. If he fails, not much we do will help, anyway.

Just my thoughts. They are quite open to change, but at the moment, that's how I see it.

11. I'm mad as Hell, and I'm not wearing any underwear!
It might be amusing to mock them in a national and media tasty way. A week from Friday, after work (office hours) we should all gather in appointed places with our underwear in our hands or signs which say, "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not wearing any underwear."

12. They are irrelavant. What they did means nothing.
They are protesting agianst straw men. There is nothing we have to do but to point out their stupidity. Everything they said came from wing nut radio lies. Forget them.

AnusImus in the Morning spent his entire program making 'teabagging' jokes with every guest that appeared?

19. they lost the election
many were near suicidal with loathing for Obama and the Democrats. Now they feel better, more hopeful that they matter. Mayhaps this victory will allow for more clear thinking. Once they see who and what they rallied for (the rich} they may indeed demand fairness.

hey, they are our fellow AmeriKans, Fox has abused them for years, they are brainwashed. I say we respectfully attempt to educate them.

21. They've had their 15 minutes. When Bill Handel on KFI laughingly points out
how their whining about taxes is stupid because Obama is LOWERING their taxes, the game is over. Handel leans Libertarian.

23. let's see the "causes" this "movement" has got behind:
-- trailer-hitch Jesus freakshow for right of a body to "live" without brain activity -- 2005
-- teabagging "resistance" to slightly increased taxes for the rich -- 2009

have I left any out? Purple Heart bandaids in 2004 was also along these same lines--a dumb idea that mushroomed into a freakshow demonstrating the brainless capacity of these morons to jump onto any bandwagon painted as "resisting" or "exposing" the evil libruls. They always feel the need to come out in weird costumes made out of flags, buttons, scraps of cloth, weird hats, and quite often with matching outfits for pasty-looking, pudgy husbands and wives.

Remember the 2-ton 10 commandments boulder they were dragging around the country? that was another example of one of their "movements."

So, no, I don't think it's going anywhere very soon.
