2. Oh no. DeLay is talking, and saying "Enough is enough and he is speaking for
the people of Texas."

Perry backtracks somewhat, but doesn't take it back.

And DeLay is trying to push it off on Tweety.

5. Chris has him on every couple of months. He lets him spew and
lie and make a total ass of himself. No, Chris doesn't love him.

6. Tweety used to love Delay
Maybe having him on now is payback for a 'scoop' Delay gave him in 2006 when he, Delay, appeared on Hardball, to slam the Dems and in this conversation (which was not meant to be broadcast) Tweety tells him he 'owes' him.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/harry-shearer/found-object-delay-on-ha_b_18506.html

This is a transcript of the taped conversation. Check out the video in the link:

MATTHEWS: Hey thank you for calling me. It was a good thing for me, mostly.

DELAY: Oh really.

MATTHEWS: Oh of course it was. We got on the air as fast as we could....

<...>

MATTHEWS: Shannon told me, she called me, she said 'don't worry -- he's not calling in to complain'...

MATTHEWS: Have you seen this new focus group stuff on the candidates?

DELAY: No I haven't

MATTHEWS: It's great stuff. I'll send it to you -- it's great -- yeah it's great stuff. Hillary, John Kerry. All these guys, all these democrats, and how they do. And, uh, Frank Luntz did it...

DELAY: who I like

CM: ...and Hillary did not do well. Kerry did well.

DELAY: You're kidding.

MATTHEWS: I am NOT kidding. They didn't like Edwards -- they thought he was a rich lawyer, pretending to care about poor people...

DELAY: Too slick. Too slick.

MATTHEWS: ...and Hillary was a know-it-all.

DELAY: Nothing worse than a woman know-it-all

<...>

MATTHEWS: Thanks. I owe you one. I owe you two -- today and last night.

DELAY: No you don't.

MATTHEWS: No, I do.

DELAY: I appreciate it.

Can't ever trust Tweety, he goes whichever way he feels will benefit HIM the most. Remember his attendance at one of Abramoff's 'charity' events also?

7. ''he goes whichever way he feels will benefit HIM the most.''
perfect.

his last book reflects that philosophy in its title, IIRC

just watched that segment tonight, and it was nauseating. he was, despite a few sliders, pitching pure softball to Delay, once again

disgusting

and thanks for that transcript. does one need to know one single other thing about him after reading that barfala?

8. You're welcome ~
I haven't read his book and don't know the title, but I did remember that conversation from 2006 when Tweety was not so popular with Dems as he sucked up to Republicans on a regular basis. Of course he dropped Delay too after he was 'out' for a while. And whatever happened to the indictment of Delay? I haven't seen today's interview, but I would think any journalist worthy of the title would have asked him about that.

I stopped watching him after he slammed people like George McGovern, perpetuating the rightwing myth that Dems are wimps, in one of his many embarrassing drools over Bush's codpiece:

http://mediamatters.org/items/200604270005

MATTHEWS: We're proud of our president. Americans love having a guy as president, a guy who has a little swagger, who's physical, who's not a complicated guy like Clinton or even like Dukakis or Mondale, all those guys, McGovern. They want a guy who's president. Women like a guy who's president. Check it out. The women like this war. I think we like having a hero as our president. It's simple. We're not like the Brits. We don't want an indoor prime minister type, or the Danes or the Dutch or the Italians, or a Putin. Can you imagine Putin getting elected here? We want a guy as president.

There are several other unbelievable comments from him regarding his adoration of Bush in a flightsuit in that link. Enough to make anyone ill.

I spent days arguing with rightwingers after that pathetic display by him, informing them that one didn't have to IMAGINE McGovern in a flightsuit as he was a REAL WW11 fighter pilot.

I guess you can see, I have little tolerance for people like Tweety, lol! And I have a long memory. I'm often surprised at how short a memory the public has which is why these morons can get away with what they get away with.

He owes George McGovern (and several other Dems he mentioned in that disgusting diatribe) an apology, but I doubt it will ever happen. He's not to be trusted at all and in fact, imo, ought to be boycotted along with all the other fake journalists on TV, as he was back then for a while.

As for his 'women like a guy as president'. What a stupid statement, as if he speaks for women or as if women are not capable of electing the person best suited for the job.
