"You would like to place Zubadayah in a cramped confinement box with an insect. You have informed us he has a fear of insects," the Bush White House said.

"As we understand it, no actually harmful insect will be placed in the box. Thus, though the introduction of an insect may produce trepidation in Zubaydah (which we discuss below), it certainly does not cause physical pain."

But, the memo cautioned, to comply with the law, the CIA "must inform him that the insects will not have a sting that would produce death or severe pain."

Part of the text beneath a description of the insect torture was redacted.

1. I've read some of this. What a bunch of SICK FUCKS!
They deserve life in prison, at the very least, though an International War Crimes trial followed by execution like the fucking Nazi criminals before them would be a better punishment.

2. And, apparently, we will not prosecute the insects
who are still working for the CIA.

3. This is getting into Medieval territory
The more disgusting the torture, the more the detainees fear it.

It's not the USE of insects that particularly bothers me, it's the use of insects as a factor of terrorizing someone.

No doubt, the captors "spread the word" to other detainees that a new "insect torture method" was being used.

Sick Fucks indeed.
