So I stopped on Fox News Today just to see what was up...
And the first thing I saw was my very first Hooters commercial. I've heard them advertised on the local sports radio stations but never saw a commercial. Now don't get me wrong, long ago I would go to bars like Hooters to get an eyeful, *wink* *wink*, but ever since I had my first non self inflicted orgasm, I lost interest in bars like Hooters.

Yes, I know I have used the Self Inflicted phrase before but it was to aptl;y describe Ayn Rand fans and it really doesn't take a long stretch to get from Ayn Rand fanatics to Hooters regulars.

But I digress.

Simply put, the demographic for Fox News has been identified by who buys advertising time on that "News" network. As bad as CNN can get, I don't think I ever saw a Hooters commercial on that network although I never watch Larry King. But somehow, I surmise, Gold Bond users and Hooters aficionados don't usually gather in the same place.

So think about who would watch Neil Cabooto, Lip-less Duce, Gretchen "I'm so sorry she got her start in my hometown of Cleveland" Carlson and the rest of those zany, half crazed and just a little off in the looks department people who represent the republican party on that network.

Hooters. It kind of says it all.

An aside, wouldn't it be better if Hooters served deep fried breasts instead of wings? The right wing can't seem to get anything right.

1. The last time I went to Hooters was the LAST time I went to Hooters

Totally unimpressed with their food...well, I don't see what the big deal is! So the waitresses serve you your food in low-hanging dress ( c'mon...childs play! )and I found the food to be sub-standard. The wings ( the ones that everyone RAVES about ) I've had wings 1000 times better at the local eateries here, and we're talking within a 1/2 mile radius and the nearest Hooters is about twenty minutes from me. The service sucked, the bar was packed with pre-pubescent, obnoxious assholes, and the wings....just-were-not-all-that-hot!

Frankly, I don't know how the fuck this place took off like it did, and I've been to two of them..same experience. :boring:

7. Question...when you ordered your wings, were they dry?
I mean, just dry...and flavorless, like someone just yelled back at the kitchen "TWO ORDERS, HOT WINGS...EXTRA DRY....NOT SPICY, LIKE WE ADVERTISE"!!!!!! Jesus-CHRIST!!!!!!! Oh, well...at least the celery was fresh, and I like celery with my blue cheese dip

2. I have never seen a Hooters commercial on TV.
So perhaps Fox is scraping the bottom of the barrel for ad revenue.
I wonder what the Christan right will think of that....never mind I don't think they think.

3. I just don't think they get the point...
Beside, anyone who would knowingly send money to Pat Robertson and all those other yahoos has to have suspended belief more than a few times...

5. I imagine a Hooters to be like a Check-E-Cheeze for adult men.
I've never set foot in one.

6. Pretty pathetic...
Isn't it...

It's for adult men who don't have the balls to go to a real strip club.

Not that I would know. Being sober kind of zaps the allure of the strip club.

8. I dunno' might be a break from CNN and CNBC's "Viva Viagra" Commercial
rip off on Elvis's "Viva Las Vegas" that becomes and earworm whenever I hear it. I wonder about the looks parents give each other with their little five year old runs around the house singing that one.. :eyes:

Hooters would be a break..sigh..
