Rahm Emanuel signals hard line on Netanyahu Adminstration.
Edited on Fri Apr-17-09 05:40 AM by denem
In an opening salvo against the Netanyahu Administration's public statements on Palestine, Emanuel is reported to have said:

* 'It doesn't matter to us who is Prime Minister';

* The 'Two State Solution' is non-negotiable;

* US approach to a 'nuclear' Iran is contingent on progress in negotiations with the Palestinians and an Israeli withdrawal from West Bank territory;

* A permanent status arrangement between Israel and the Palestinians, will happenin Obama's first term; and

* Obama will not meet Netanyahu during AIPAC Conference in May - 'Won't be in town'.

12. I admit. I thought he would take a softer, more obsequious approach with Israel
But I like his stance.
