Carlie Christine may have been Playboy's Cyber Girl of the Week in February, but she's no longer Casa Roble High School's cheerleading coach.
Her short tenure at the Orangevale school ended after some parents alerted school officials to semi-nude photos of Christine from the Playboy Web site.
San Juan Unified School District spokesman Trent Allen said she had been hired in February and was paid a stipend to be the cheerleading squad's coach. And he said she is no longer employed by the district. But district officials would not say that the coach was fired for posing for the photos. They cited personnel confidentiality.
Christine – she uses that name in her modeling work – was not a teacher at the Oak Avenue school.
As a campus extra, she could be let go without cause, school officials said.
Christine declined to comment on Wednesday.
The flap over the photos began when parents of some cheerleading hopefuls brought the material to the attention of administrators, according to two school officials who asked for anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the matter.
...
But Christine does talk about her modeling experience on Web sites such as Model Mayhem and My-Space.
On Model Mayhem, the "5-foot-2 20-year-old brunette" says she will not pose nude and reserves the right to bring an escort if she hasn't shot with a photographer before.
But in an online video posted to one of her MySpace profiles, Christine talks about her enjoyment of being outdoors, what it's like to be photographed nude and the difference between porn and sexy photos.
"As far as Playboy pictures, people categorize them as being pornographic," she said.
"I kind of disagree. I think it's artistic … We all shower naked. We all do a lot of things naked."
