To some extent, Garofalo is correct in her assessment. Deep down, i would guess that a whole lot of people who attended the tea parties do not want a black man running the country. Is their anything wrong in thinking that? NO its not wrong(its completely natural and human).

Between the post-teabag analysis of Malloy, Miller, and Olbermann and hearing/seeing them spout the same crap they did during the campaign, it occured to be that they WEREN'T protesting partisanship or policy at all--it was about resentment that their lives are in the hands of a black guy. I have seen the pictures and the signs from the protests. Some of the signs were bigoted, some could definitely have been motivated by racism, but the vast majority were not bigoted or racist. To say otherwise is lying and it defenitely disappoints me that Janeane would talk like that. She usually seems a lot more thoughtful than that.

It is in Stormfront's best interest to say that the protests were about race and racism, they want to pretend that their group has massive grass roots support. Their saying that the protests were about racism makes me believe it even less so, and frankly makes Janeane look like an idiot.
