Pol Pot and Teabaggers
Thank god there were only as many teabaggers nationwide than a single game's spectators at memorial stadium.

Because after seeing CNN's correspondent nearly lynched, I was reminded of something pretty scary:

Pol Pot and the khmer rouge.

the way Intellectuals are singled out by faux news and the teabaggers is frightening because if we all hadn't raised a stink about it, and laughed them out the door, in a couple of years we may have been being killed in the street for wearing glasses.

Let's make an agreement, DUers, Huffposters, et al, to never let this stuff go by unchallenged.

This sort of thing can creep up on a nation, until it's too late to stop.

thankfully, the ani-smart rebellion has been quelled for now.

3. I can see OP's point, up to a point. Pol Pot used the masses against the educated
I could see that happening in many places in the US. The Dick Cheney's of the corporate/political world do not want people capable of critical thought, same as ol Pol. And the bad guys stay on top when they can keep the masses busy fighting amongst themselves instead of joining forces and going after the root of the problems.

2. The 'ani-smart rebellion' has been quelled for now?
NO, sadly not. I read about GOP state legislatures cutting funding for schools and state universities. I do not think the battle against learning and using what one learns is quelled at all.
