Susan Boyle is on the radar because she told the world she didn't need to look like someone else.
She's comfortable in her own skin. She doesn't need Botox or liposuction or some Clairol fake hair color to make herself feel good.

It would seem that some DU'ers value those who take the false road to their fame to be more important in the grand scheme of things than those who aren't caught up in how they look on camera. Any friend of the Google can provide hundreds of links to celebrities and politicians who've been photographed without the benefit of having their personal makeup artist available at the moment the pics were snapped. There are probably a brazillion pics of "before" and "after" concerning people we're currently idolizing.

Ms. Boyle doesn't fit the mold of what's popular, and some resent that.

She's not the prettiest flower on the bush. Her voice doesn't necessarily make one think of the smoothest songbird they've ever heard. She doesn't FIT.

Strange how a woman that most wouldn't cast a second look at while walking down the sidewalk could make those who THINK they're pretty, and have a better voice than her feel like it's necessary to denigrate her in some way.

Susan? You go girl. Go as long as you can before those who think your physical appearance means more than your soul our your ability to entertain. Make what you can while you can. Not everyone who posts here is as shallow as those who think you're a flash in the pan because you're not their picture of beauty.

You obviously have a beautiful soul, and that's something sorely lacking in this modern world.

Power to ya Susan, and if I weren't already taken, I'd think that a date with you could be one of the more interesting nights of my life. Hell, taken or not, that's how I feel.

Sing your heart out!
Chris

1. She's got the "Cosmetic industry" running scared.
She's Hot as all get-out, and she doesn't need a thick
layer of PAINT on her face to feel confident to leave the house.

I hope a MILLION young women follow her example, and break free
of the MATRIX that they've been trapped in for decades.

9. Not to mention the RAZOR Industry,
I've spent a total of 12 years of my life with 2 ladies
who NEVER shaved their legs, and you know what?
That bothered me for about 2 SECONDS, combined between the 2 of them.

I can't believe that ladies WASTE 22 billion dollars a year
shaving their legs.

Newsflash, ladies: REAL men don't give a RAT'S ASS about that.
We don't care if your legs are smooth or furry, we're just happy
to get between them.

It's a FACT.

19. So do I.
Not all the time, but when I'm right
I'm pretty fucking RIGHT. And I'm just about
110% "RIGHT" about this one.

It's just AMAZING to me that 55% of the entire human population
has been tricked into thinking that they aren't attractive enough
to leave the house without a thick layer of PAINT on their faces.

Let alone the "Shaving" thing....that's just so totally silly.

Ladies, us guys DON'T CARE about that nonsense.
We really don't.
Stop all the face-painting and the shaving, and we are STILL
gonna try to have sex with you 24 hours a day, everywhere you go.

2. Simon Cowell is smiling like a Cheshire Cat right now
I'm amazed that so many people are falling for this Susan Boyle BS.

The whole thing is fake, designed to make you feel all gushy so you buy her future records and the record companies make millions.

Plus her voice is overrated.

3. The last "record" I bought was by a band called "Lake".
Her voice is overrated by some, to be true, but beautiful vocals are judged by the ears they caress.

When I feel "gushy", I call my mom, rather than buy future records so the record companies make millions.

Simon Cowell can smile like the cat who ate the canary. I hope he chokes on the feathers.

8. listen to her cd of "Cry Me a River"
Her voice is not overrated. She demonstrates quite good technique, in particular in the cd above, and a beautiful tone quality.

Yes, there are many, many other singers with just as good voices in music schools around the world.

I'm just glad that someone from nowhere got an opportunity. Sorry it took so long.

I loved listening to her sing, and I can't say that about a *lot* of so-called singers.

14. I think she is very talented

But to view her as a pop sensation - regardless of how she looks - is an insult to her talent.

Why everyone has to be a pop star is beyond me.

It's like people never listen to classical or liturgical music.

11. So What? She Has a Beautiful Voice. Why Shouldn't She Make Money?
And why shouldn't whomever signs her to a contract make money?

Of course he's grinning. I'd be grinning, too, if I had the connections to make $20 million off of an artist with a voice as gorgeous as Susan Boyle's.

Jealous much?

Pandering to the shallow and attention-deprived.

She has a wonderful voice. Can you now stop projecting all your insecure shit onto her?
