What a frickin' mess: Protests, mass walkout at U.N conference on racism
in Geneva as Ahmadinejad speaks. Just reported on CNN. The video shows dozens walking out of the venue over Ahmadinejad's comments about Israel. What genius decided it was a good idea to have Ahmadinejad speak on the opening day of the conference, which also happens to be Holocaust remembrance day?

3. Ahmadinejad is an idiot and his people can't wait to vote him out. They slapped his party...
in the last elections, just as we did Bush in '06.

We just need to wait this guy out. He's bonkers.

13. Think mebbe there's a reason
the Resident of Iran is sometimes referred to as Imaloonyjob? He's the GWB of the East. The two of them make a fine pair :-\

I had wondered about President Obama's reasons for staying away from the conference. Once again, retrospective proves him to be a prudent man.

15. yeah, this is a complete fuckup- having Ahmadinejad spew hate
at this conference. A Norwegian delegate just called him out in harsh terms. Accused him of inciting hate.

17. Then again, they fed him plenty of rope
and he began fashioning his own knots. Most of the civilized world stepped back and said "I ain' got nud'n t'do wid it." Again, a prudent course. When your enemy is busily blowing himself up, don't interrupt him ;)

16. Some of what Ahmadinejad said:
Excerpts from Iranian president's speech at UN
By The Associated Press – 1 hour ago

English translation of excerpts from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech at the U.N. racism conference:

"Following World War II, they resorted to military aggression to make an entire nation homeless under the pretext of Jewish suffering. They sent migrants from Europe, the United States and other parts of the world in order to establish a totally racist government in the occupied Palestine. In fact, in compensation for the dire consequences of racism in Europe, they helped bring to power the most cruel and repressive racist regime in Palestine."

___

"It is all the more regrettable that a number of Western governments and the United States have committed themselves to defend those racist perpetrators of genocide, while the awakened, conscious and free-minded people of the world condemn aggression, brutalities and bombardments of civilians of Gaza."
