Bob Barr: Former GOP Attack Dog Has Written Off the Current Republican Party
Listen to the lament of Republican-cum-Libertarian Bob Barr as he witnesses the crash and burn of his beloved GOP:

"As a former Republican member of Congress, it was painful for me to watch current Republican Minority Leader John Boehner spar with George Stephanopoulos yesterday on ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos.” If anyone still harbored a belief that the Republican Party possesses leadership at the congressional level, Boehner’s performance Sunday should disavow them of such optimism.

On issue after issue, Boehner’s responses to Stephanopoulos’ jabs were disjointed, vague and rambling. There were virtually no specifics put forward by Boehner, despite numerous openings provided by Stephanopoulos for the Republican leader to provide a counterpoint to the Obama Administration’s liberal agendas on matters such as healthcare, climate change, and energy policy. On healthcare, the closest Boehner could come to providing a plan to counter Obama’s government-controlled proposal, was to note that “we’re working on a plan.” Regarding carbon emissions and climate change, the Minority Leader talked about “what cows do” as emitters of CO2, and admitted that it was a “big issue” and that “I think you’ll see a plan from us.” The GOP’s House leader “thinks” the country will see a plan on a major issue? That’s leadership?"

Of course, the right-wing bloggers want to paint Barr as a disavowed outsider, as they are wont to do. It's terrific watching them destroy themselves in a perpetual state of denial. Good riddance!

2. It's a joy to see how demoralized and disorganized conservatives are because of Team O.

3. Beloved GOP? Didn't he run on a Third Party ticket ??? Libertarian, IIRC....

He's trolling for contributions, apparently he has a campaign debt.

He is an outsider--he went against the GOP just this last year.

4. True, Very True. But It's Fun To Watch His Disbelief
As the GOP continues its downward spiral into the toilet.

Let's face it: he's a LINO. Given the opportunity, he would don his sharpened teeth and attack any Democrat whose scent he was put upon.

5. Cows don't "emit" CO2, but they exhale it. It's the methane...
that comes out of cows that is of concern to environmentalists.
