1. You'll find it under a pea in the soup.
It's a tiny amount.

2. If you find out, let us know how to get a cut of it
I would love to get community money to create art. Selling it has been way too slow and I could use a raise.

5. Well, the NEA is trying to get it increased to $200-million for this
year, so it's currently less than that.

What's $200-million in a multi-trillion dollar budget?

Funny how the arts get so little, yet they're the first thing that gets cut. Eliminating the entire NEA would save diddly squat, yet politicians act as if cutting arts funding makes a meaningful difference in balancing the budget. What horseshit! All it does is appease the fucking rednecks.

6. OK, I found this link:
http://www.arttrust.net/news/art$/

0.13% for the Arts. That was in 2006. It's the first link I've found that expressed it in percent. It also is expressed in per capita dollars at $6.00. That compared to $85 per capita in Germany.

7. That site is only for Arkansas, is it not?
The NEA gets about $100-million a year. There are 300-million people in the USA. That works out to $.33 per capita.
