When do "conservatives" reach their breaking point?
The pressure just seems to be building and their rhetoric is getting more bizarre and desperate. This idea of prosecuting Bush administration officials seems to have upped the ante big time. I'm not sure why. It's not like they can be discredited a whole lot more, and they could have the excuse they need to distance themselves from the Bush adminstration millstone.

They're going to blow. I don't know what happens when the blow, but I can feel it coming.

1. Dick is feeling squeezed, no telling what might happen
He's on tv now daily, right? He was in a secret undisclosed locale for most of his VP, but now he feels the pressure and is squirming. No telling where his tentacles still reach

2. My prediction: 6-12 months from now, there will be a RW terrorist attack.
It will probably be smaller than the OKCB, but it will still be significant.

7. Plenty are expecting that conveniently timed "distraction" that will allow the right to appear as...
"Strong defenders" that are needed in such a dangerous world (made that way by right-wing elements, of course)

Sad thing is, there'll be no shortage of brainwashed suckers who'll buy it hook, line and sinker, and again, democracy will be on the march!.

13. Well, if it is a right wing "domestic" terrorist, I doubt they will come off looking good.
Hopefully someone will point out that their rumor mongering and paranoia spreading was to blame for the attack.

17. Sorry, maybe I misunderstood you. I mean an attack as in another phony attack meant to....
...mobilze the dominant view of the US populace along the lines the military-industrial complex wants it to be to suit its interests i.e. Oklahoma Murrah Bombing, 9/11, etc

Not asking about the bottom--asking about an explosion.
Kaboom!

Much worse than a bottom. One can recover from a bottom.

Again, not sure what it is exactly but it's not a bottom.

32. Cary, you sound like my 88 year old dad last week
He was in the hospital for diagnostic tests and the guy he shared the room with was a colossal gasbag. His voice reverberated off the walls.

My dad marched up to the nurses station and announced, "I'm telling you, if you don't move me, I'm gonna blow...I mean it."

All kidding aside, I agree with you. These people are building up a head of steam like Mount Vesuvius. God only knows what form this Right Wing detonation is going to take.

should send them into a collective stroke or heart attack. Either ending is okay with me.

18. They're not used to being smacked-da-hell down after 28 years of fluffery from both parties.
Their way was THE way.

Now the current administration and the American people that elected them are calling them on their numerous and costly failures, and they don't like it.

What did Rove teach Bewsh? "Never, ever, ever, EVER admit wrongdoing or error". Conservatives live in bubbles, always have. No one ever stood up to them and said their way was bullshit because they had all the muscle and cash. By and large, they still do, but division has set in the GOP. They have no message and, like the teabaggers, come off as a party of grizzled old white racists who's ideas were once lauded but are now viewed as toxic.

They're becoming a party filled with spoiled brats used to getting their way. If anyone should be bitching and reaching a boiling point, it should be us.

I mean, REALLY. What do conservatives have to "boil" about? Everything went right for them for 28 years. Their stupid war and economic policies have been nailed in place to the detriment of the rest of America; an America, BTW, that includes the Conservatives that voted against their best interests with alarming consistency.

Bad policies have consequences. What did they THINK, that we would just sit and TAKE their bullshit forever?

21. What do "conservatives" have to "boil" about?
"Liberals".

The only thing they ever had, when it comes down to it, was a hatred of "Liberals". And, as Goebels said "We decide who is Jewish." (substitute "Liberal" for "Jewish").

They are truly hate based.

28. Unfortunately history shows that this particular personality type is recurring...
And as long as the line between fair play (taking into account what's good for all) and Winner Take All is blurred, those more nefarious traits are indirectly encouraged within the broader corporate culture ...to the extent that many probably don't acknowledge that their values are imposed and warped, and benefit very inhumane, anti-democratic interests and ideals.

29. I doubt there are any new personality types.
Speaking of projecting, a couple of years ago I hit them with Randi Rhodes' idea that they're Tories, defending King George, while we're the patriots. I forget Randi's details of that but it was a real good point that she made about how we loved our country so much that we want to change it to make it right.

Sure enough a couple of days ago they unapologetically tried to recycle that argument against me, calling me the Tory. They've probably moved on. Their memes don't last long although I want to puke at the way they cloak themselves in "values."

I'm so tired of these people. Sorry for dumping.

25. I was just wondering that myself, that prosecutions might send some over the edge.
What they forget to remember is that the Army, Secret Service, CIA, NSA (no not NRA) and the FBI all aren't run by their buddies Dick and George anymore. Their precious Patriot Act would be turned both barrels on them.

I'm not sure I'm real worried about their potential "military" ventures. I think they may find out there's a lot more people on the "reasonable and not insane" side.
