GOP leaders asked to call for Napolitano resignation

Conservative House Republicans are calling on their leaders to ask President Obama for Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s resignation.

The Republicans think Napolitano should resign because of the release of a report that singled out conservatives as “right-wing terrorists,” according to several GOP lawmakers.

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) are set to meet with Obama at the White House on Thursday. It is unclear whether they will request Napolitano’s resignation, but several lawmakers said it was under discussion.

“I think leaders are going to bring it up with the president, maybe call for (her) resignation,” one conservative member told The Hill Wednesday.

Several conservative Republicans broached the topic Wednesday morning during the open-mic portion of the GOP’s closed-door conference meeting. They continued to beat the drum at the Republican Study Committee meeting later in the day.

3. Curious these supposedly mainstream Republicans associate
themselves so closely with groups like the Klan, the Aryan Nation and the Timothy McVeighs of the world.

5. Republicans ARE terrorists. They've attacked our rights and liberties,
our freedoms, our treasury, and killed our troops for 8 years. What further proof does there need to be? Facts are facts, guys. You fucked up, you got caught, you are hated. Get over it and shut the hell up.

9. No, we needn't worry about right wing terrorists
This story from the local rag has made me ill all day.

Neo-Nazi group based in Phoenix

"A Rogue Valley man recently released from prison after being convicted in a string of racially motivated assaults in 2003 now leads a statewide neo-Nazi group based in Phoenix.

Andrew Lee Patterson identifies himself as the state leader of the National Socialist Movement, Oregon Unit, and said he has been a "storm trooper, first class" with the movement for about six months. Other unit leaders from around the state selected him as leader based on his active involvement, he said."

That's not Phoenix, Arizona. That's dinky little Phoenix, Oregon and this filth gets a front page story with a picture in their Hitler youth uniforms.

If the right wing wants to disassociate itself from terrorist and hate groups, they can start by supporting efforts to curb them.

19. Ah, that's where you're mistaken.
That is reality, which has no place in Right-Wing World. They generate their own reality from several sources. One is The Expanded Really Real Bible, which has Jesus riding velociraptors and beating homosexuals with a lash after personally writing the entire book in English on a PC.

Another is the Republican United States Constitution, which has The Expanded Bible as the ultimate arbitrator of laws, dinosaur-riding Jesus as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and no 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, or 8th amendments, or habeas corpus. There is, however, an amendment encouraging waterboarding. And the entire PNAC manifesto is included in Article 1.

The reality that they've manufactured for themselves is that the US economy is nimble and quick like a jackrabbit and was doing JUST FINE until mid-October of 2008, when Kenyan-born Muslin Barack HUSSEIN Obama, the Socialist Fascist, grabbed it and pulled it sharply from the path of prosperity that the kind and benevolent George W. Bush had it running on and set it towards the slaughterhouse run by Bill Ayers.

Then, all the registration forms for Mick E. Mouse and Donald D'Uck that ACORN printed up in a black UN helicopter turned the election away from John McCain (who was never, ever, ever born in Panama) and towards Osama Obama, where his mesmorizing smile and his wife's bulging biceps hypnotized everybody into voting for him.

As you can probably guess, the Republican reality for the last few years was manufactured by the absolute lowest bidder.

12. I remember their outrage when DHS cautioned against PETA, ELF,
the Quakers, ACORN, and the League of Women Voters.

It's nice to see them being so consistant and all.

Ah, I remember when President Clinton sent troops into Somalia and Yugoslavia, how they immediately fell in line behind the president during a time of war and lashed out harshly at those that criticized him, calling them "unpatriotic" and declaring Clinton a "war president".

And the warm accolades when Clinton ordered cruise-missile attacks on Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. Man, that was some warm bipartisan love right there. Americans uniting in the face of a deadly foreign enemy, leaving partisan politics at the water's edge.

And I find is especially honorable how they encouraged the courts to delay the various civil lawsuits against Clinton until after he was out of office. And the way they quashed Ken Starr when he tried to publish smut about Clinton and Lewinsky... memorable words and memorable actions indeed.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go to the hospital. My eyes have rolled so far back in my skull I can only see what I'm eating AFTER I swallow...

14. they are welcome to ask but Napolitano isn't going anywhere
There is absolutely no reason for her to resign. She is just doing her job. I am glad that the GOP is making this their priority. It shows how clueless they are about what is going on in the country. Maybe they are a bunch of fat cats that don't care about those less fortunate than themselves who are suffering during this economic crisis. While Americans are losing homes and jobs, the GOP is sitting around talking about being singled out in Napolitano's report and wanting her to resign.

20. So the GOP is saying that
the report says conservatives are RW terrorists? What a bunch of crap. Maybe they should read the report. I don't think conservatives are equated with RW terrorists.

I sort of remember how they all lumped Obama in with the Bill Ayers crowd and that kind of nonsense didn't play well. Now they are accusing Napolitano of doing what they did and it is a whole lot of projecting in my opinion.
