are we going to tolerate torture or are we going to obey domestic and international law. Requiring soldiers who have given up their Constitutional rights to say "no" to torture and then sending them to jail for it at the same time that you are requiring others to torture is wrong. It is a system designed to keep whistle blowers from talking---for fear that they will be sent to jail.

Note that jailing whistle blowers for the crimes they were trying to report was a favorite strategy of Ashcroft, Gonzo and Mukasey--meaning it came from on high. Refusing to allow the little fish to testify against the big fish in exchange for immunity was also a favored tactic in their efforts to protect the elite of this country.
