Maybe a locust plague?

An earthquake will cause the West Coast to fall into the Pacific?

Seriously. How much other shit can we pile onto the Obama administration?

6. Hopefully, when America launches military operations all over Pakistan to recover
its nuclear arsenal within 24 hours of collapse, we'll miss a dozen or so, and the Taliban will claim this is a declaration of war. That would be super.

7. Just look at it from a "humanity's-lesson-learned" vantage for the whole world:
Never let your religious fundementalists take control. Don't give them an inch of power. Ever.

9. I think Baer said that the Taliban controls the area within 60 miles of the capital.
If anybody hasn't watched the Bill Maher show from this past Friday, they should. If Baer is concerned then I'm concerned.

8. He will deal with it, there is NO doubt about that.
I have confidence in this administration, unlike the horror show of the last eight years.

10. Imagine George Bush being in control over this mess
I think it would be time to hole up in the basement with my shotgun.

I guess first I'd have to get a shotgun. And a basement for that matter.

14. Depends, do you want a serious answer or a snarky one?
Serious potential problems, from most likely to least likely:
* Pakistan's nuclear arsenal falling into hands of extremists
* Israel taking unilateral action against Iran
* All-out war between Israel and the Palestinians, or any of Israel's neighbors
* North Korea deciding "what the hell" and invading South Korea, launching missiles at Japan

Snarky answer:
* extraterrestrials attacking New York City (they seem to have a hard-on for the Empire State Building)

16. I was wondering the same thing
but all I can think is I am so grateful he is in the WH instead of McCain. Not that I don't think he might make a mistake, but that he won't dig in if he sees he needs to change his approach or try something else---like someone else we all know and loathe.

19. He's well-paid and wanted the job. Plenty of people are working hard
and they don't even get health "care" or an army of chefs at the end of the day. I talked to a public school teacher today about some work-related issues for her and there's a heroine if ever there was one.

So, Obama can deal and if not, he needs to find another job, rather than being a public servant in the executive branch. (That goes for Congress, too.)

20. I'd say that any president is working hard.
Obama just seems to have more on his plate than the average.

By the way, this isn't a very serious post. You can relax a little.
