11. Macs make people more productive.
While PCs make people work harder to maintain their basic tool.

19. I doubt that's why there's one on her desk on the TV.

It might be, but I think it has more to do with crafting a trendy image.

9. Why build one when you can buy one?
Edited on Mon Apr-27-09 10:05 PM by onehandle
$599

I got better things to do than cobble together a generic box.

Next you'll claim you build your own monitors out of scrap carpet and toilet paper tubes.

24. LOL!
My girlfriend bought a Mac Mini at my suggestion. She's very happy with it. I'm impressed, too. It doesn't have the heavy-duty graphics and audio capabilities my G5 does, but she wasn't in need of that. It does everything she needs it to do, simply and without problems. The only difficulty she's encountered is when Microsoft Word crashes on her. (When Word hung up her Mac recently, she called the Apple store and they walked her through it.)

Honestly, I'd love to be able to afford a laptop with a big ass monitor. But to do that, I'd have to buy something that runs Microsoft. (I'm not interested in tinkering with Linux.) Microsoft sucks, plain and simple. Everything is needlessly complicated, looks ugly, lacks intuition, and is ripe for viruses. I'll stick with Macs instead.

I rock Macs because it provides a greater utility.

15. Let's be honest. PC's suck.
I like my Tecra and ThinkPad, but I depend on my Macs.

No comparison.

Clarification, PC's running on other than Microsoft OS, not so bad.

27. I don't hate Macs, but as a teacher who had BOTH Macs and PC's in the classroom I can say that Macs
are NOT God's gift to personal computing. I taught a PhotoShop class with both Macs and PC's, and the Macs (G-4's at the time) locked up EVERY BIT AS MUCH AS PC'S. PC users in the class adjusted to working with the Mac much more easily than vice versa.

The similarities are much more noticable than are the differences.
