Why FOX News is not carrying President Obama's press conference?
They have made a political calculation. They understand that the hardcore right-wingers in this country make up about 25% of the population and almost all of them are Republican and anti-Obama. That is why they have been criticized lately as being "too much against" the new President.

But they have calculated that they will go after that segment of voters and that they will criticize Obama at every turn, no matter what he does. Roger Ailes is a lot like Rush Limbaugh, only with a more conniving brain. It's about money. It's about using division and partisan politics to make that money.

2. They believe Obama is out to get them.
He's coincidentally been timing his press conferences to air at the same time their popular shows have been airing. So they've had to preempt those, and lose their best ratings in the process.

8. The cable news networks are all covering it, including Faux
Their local stations are not covering it. I hate Faux News as much as the next person, but in this case, it is the broadcast network that is not covering it.

12. significant flaw in your reasoning: Fox News is carrying the press conference
Its the Fox broadcast network, not fox news, that isn't carrying it. And its a business judgment, driven by ratings, not a political calculation.
