FOX does NOT own the airwaves.
The government allows FOX to use the public airwaves to transmit their entertainment and propaganda by issuing them an FCC license. But neither FOX nor any other network owns their airwaves! How dare they tell the President of the United States to STFU. What the fuck are they showing that's so much more important?

They should be so lucky that the government just doesn't appropriate a given amount of time on a regular basis for national updates. We would have every right to do so.

2. They don't own them. Clear Channel does.
It was Saint Reagan who sold out the publicly-owned broadcast licenses to wealthy companies. Sacred Ronnie told them they didn't have to provide public service to their communities, or offer opposing viewpoints for editorial positions, or even have the Cub Scout troops on their Bozo the Clown shows, to keep their licenses.

And death, and decay, and Clear Channel holds illimitable dominion over all.

3. They're on cable.
I mean-- I know the local stations broadcast, but the actual offender is safely sitting in cable land, out of the reach of the FCC.

4. Not the FOX network
FAUX News may be a cable network out of the FCC's reach, but not the actual FOX network. It's subject to the same FCC regulations as NBC, which also has a heavy cable presence.

8. The cable news networks are all covering it, including Faux
Their local stations are not covering it. I hate Faux News as much as the next person, but in this case, it is the broadcast network that is not covering it.
