Utah County Republicans reject 'Satanic' resolution

By Donald W. Meyers

Orem » Utah County Republicans defeated a resolution opposing well-heeled groups that a delegate claims are pushing a satanic plan to encourage illegitimate births and illegal immigration.

Don Larsen, a Springville delegate, offered the resolution, titled "Resolution opposing the Hate America anti-Christian Open Borders cabal," warning delegates that an "invisible government" comprised of left-wing foundations was pumping money into the Democratic Party to push for looser immigration laws and anti-family legislation.

Larsen said Democrats get most of the votes cast by illegal immigrants and people in dysfunctional families.

But it's not the Democrats who are behind this strategy, Larsen said. It's the devil.

"Satan's ultimate goal is to destroy the family," Larsen said, "and these people are playing a leading part in it."

Larsen's resolution contained quotes from the New Testament on the battle between good and evil. The copy of the resolution handed to delegates stated it "fulfills scriptural prophecies about our times."

Larsen offered a similar resolution at the 2007 convention. That also was defeated by delegates.

2. One wonders how this individual defines 'dysfunctional families'.
My guess is: any family which allows it's various members to think and act independently from some authoritarian family head.

What we do need is a lot less magical thinkers making decisions for our country.

6. Its utah, so I am curious if he is Morman.
I think they have some different views on Good and Evil, specifically I am not sure if they put Jesus as high up on the good side.

However, beyond that, the people using evil are not democrats or republicans, it is all people that act outside of the spirit of God, goodness, kindness, love, and not being judgmental.

To say evil's main goal is to break up the family, makes me wonder what there definition of family is. If it is really just the normal definition of family, then I disagree its a main goal, but a side effect of bad things done by people. And the family unit can be a great place for love and support for people during difficulties. Something evil would try to lesson.

But it is possible this guy is using 'family' to mean the elite class. Fraternal organizations and some groups call there claim to rule to be the family. There is a group that refer to themselves and the self proclaimed ruling class, including big business leaders, politicians and others they themselves consider worthy, as the leaders by some special right.

A very common thing to claim, and gives people the ability to claim reasons for hording or living above modest means. It also breaks down empathy. And it allows people to lie or steal to get power, since they think it is theirs by some self claimed right to be in charge.

Personally, in my experience of conflicts with evil, the evil side is strewn through many organizations with rituals that honor power, death, and evil. They call on dark stuff and use curses and lots of stuff like that. I stay away from all that, bad stuff, but it is done in many groups with many members in power. Some groups require oaths that have curses in them if broken, or statements to idols, stuff like that. You can see them in fraternities, the place 'the family' gets lots of their members, and in many organizations with secret rituals and hidden membership. Many of them are Republican.

What I have seen is that evils first goal is to get people to think the supernatural world does not exist, second is usually to get people to claim that they are better then others, and sometimes even to claim they have some supernatural powers or even claim to be gods. You see this alot with people in cults running around claiming to be Jesus, or claiming to be special in some way. But evil just makes people think they have some power to use them, then throws them away when done with them, to try and make someone else think they have power.

This is why you see the good people not claiming any power, knowing that all good comes from God, and just trying to be the best they can be without claiming to be special or better. All glory to God, is also honest, since the wonders are his, not from man.

I got a hunch these guys are transferring there beliefs to fit what they want the world to look like based on what is best for them, and maybe there families. But not what is best for most people, or what would follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

13. 'Cause I've seen a pattern in recent years in which the men who are
the movers and shakers in the right wing's Values Parade and who kick up the biggest fuss over being "pro-family" and "traditional family" people invariably end up being caught with male prostitutes and cruising for BJs in airport bathrooms. Which is fine by me if that's your thing; it just bugs me when people rail against it on one hand and then do it themselves on the other.

My post was meant to be somewhat tongue-in-cheek. Given the OP, I probably should have said "Larsen is a closet immigrant."

12. "looser immigration laws and anti-family legislation"

One thing we know for sure about immigrants is how anti-family they are!
