But Arlen, it's still a good time to vote your conscience on things. You threw off your shackles, you're an older guy, you beat cancer, DO THE RIGHT THING with your votes. Pennsylvania is going left/blue fast and you're just further proof.

The GOOP has deep pockets, including Mellon-Scaiffe who is sure to throw a lot of coin at Toomey. Arlen didn't just come for the better lunch menu, he's gotta know that he'll need a lot of money and political support to hang on next year. Of all people cynical of his move has to be Pennsylvania Democrats...and with good reason.

The interesting question that should play out is how messy of a divorce did Arlen have with the GOOPers. Who knows...he could become the political equivelent of a reform smoker.
