FYI: Making Home Affordable Plan
Edited on Tue Apr-28-09 02:11 PM by tinkerbell41
I have been in contact with my mortgage company since March. I just found out today, that I cannot get any help due to the fact that I am unemployed, receiving unemployment. They don't consider that income. I get it, but I have never missed a payment, been out of work since Aug. I am sooo pissed with all this talk of help, I can't get any. So please be aware if you have lost your job,you are shit out of luck. By the way, I have applied to about 25-30 restaurants since Aug. I can't even get an interview. I usually walk in to a place and can get hired that day. I have always used waitressing
as a back up when my industry slowed, I could always survive. I am at my wits end. Yes I have called The Hope Hotline, HUD, Attorney General, etc.. I was told alot of people are going to lose their homes and it's only going to get worse. Okay since the BS already started> I sign a book at my union hall, when my number comes up I take a job. We have 1800 on the book.Little calls coming in.
Since I work in construction and must travel all over my county to do so, i have to work somewhere where i could make it within 20 min drive time, after showering, changing to make myself presentable to the public. I don't want to say see ya when i go back to my regular job. It isn't fair to the employer.

1. You've applied to 25-30 places since August?
I applied to hundreds of places when I was out of work (less than a month).

2. Let me explain
There aren't that many Restaurants around me, that I can get to between coming home from work, showering, and changing again. I usually hang on to them even when I go back to work to get ahead.
I work in construction on a daybook system, could go back anytime, don't really like to skip out on an employer when I pick up a job call.

4. We were just talking .. in another thread, about the banks not working with people
I'm sick of trying to get help in an attempt to save my home. It's a joke, it should have been mandated (in order to get tarp money) for the banks to work with homeowners. Mine basically told me too bad, so sad.
