So, are the Repub purists going to calm down and learn a lesson....
Edited on Tue Apr-28-09 05:59 PM by dem629
...or are they going to continue their crusade to purge the party of the non-believers, possibly pushing Snowe and/or Collins to the Dem or Indy columns?

Predictions?

1. What was that word you used? "Learn"? "LEARN"?
Now THAT would be a first for them!

3. They will not change their ways. It is very much like a religion with them.
They think they have the one true faith. They will end up with a smaller and smaller part of the electorate as people see that government can help solve some of their problems.

4. I expect more purging of non-believers. They are way to out of touch to stop themselves. EOM

6. Nope.
They have been captured by their loony base. They're stuck, as David Michael Green argues here: http://www.commondreams.org/view/2008/11/24

9. As long as they have assholes like Limbaugh, Hannity & O'Reilly on their side ...

... they don't stand a chance. Simply because anyone with a functional brain will see them for what they
are ... lying hatemongers. And most rational people will want to stay away from that sort of thing.

10. No they are celebrating this as a victory
"They got rid of the RINO asshole"

Yep, and now the democrats will have 60 senators in their caucus probably sometime in mid-late June.

I fully expect them to attack the Senators from Maine next. Remember, these guys live on attacking, and if anything the Maine Senators are going to be more emboldened by Arlen's move.

11. Nah! They're gonna immediately close ranks into a circular firing squad
but they'll probably wound themselves a lot more before they actually kill themselves. The last one standing wins.

13. Continue the crusade
They're so insane, they think their problem is they haven't been insane enough.

I have a feeling that not all of the current Repukes are purists, though.
