So Pelosi was worried she "could be charged for revealing classified information"
http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennthrush/0409/Pelosi_Officials_said_they_wouldnt_use_waterboarding.html

...for talking about the classified meetings on waterboarding.

SO FUCKING WHAT, NANCY!!!??!!

Your first obligations are to upholding the constitution and protecting the people of the United States! Patriots sometimes go to jail for that but you, you!, you think your #1 obligation is keeping your ass out of trouble and in your safe, sweet congressional seat!

Fuck You, Nancy. You could have done something. Instead you're part of the problem.

1. Aiding and Abetting/Accessory:
http://criminal.findlaw.com/crimes/a-z/aiding_abetting_accessory.html

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A criminal charge of aiding and abetting or accessory can usually be brought against anyone who helps in the commission of a crime, though legal distinctions vary by state. A person charged with aiding and abetting or accessory is usually not present when the crime itself is committed, but he or she has knowledge of the crime before or after the fact, and may assist in its commission through advice, actions, or financial support. Depending on the degree of involvement, the offender's participation in the crime may rise to the level of conspiracy.

4. Have you considered making a citizens arrest on Bush/Cheney?
See you can do something too. You might go to jail for trying.

Why haven't you done it? Aren't you patriotic?

6. Your point is well taken. Seriously. We could all have done more. But...
... I don't think you can compare Pelosi's blown opportunity to do the right thing with someone like me not attempting what would be an ultimately useless gesture.

8. What you are suggesting Pelosi should have done was an "ultimately useless gesture" too

Yet you want to publicly crucify her here for that?

When things like that happen the needle on my BS detector goes way to the right.

5. She could have contacted the press anonymously...
Any of them could have.

7. That is not correct
They get briefed one at a time. They don't know if some detail(s) they are being told is only being disclosed to them and them only. That way if someone were to leak information to the media, even anonymously, it is real easy to figure out exactly who did the leaking.

9. Pelosi could have taken a cue from Texas House Democrats
In 2002, when DeLay's redistricting plan was being pushed through the state legislature, House and Senate Democrats simply left the state, preventing a quorum from being established. The idea was to force the Republicans to withdraw the redistricting measure. But that was before DeLay ordered Homeland Security and the state GOP to put pressure on the Dems to end their exile.

10. I was excited about her in 2006
how quickly she began to disappoint. I really should have known better even then, but I hoped she'd rise to the occasion and redeem herself for past cowardice and self-serving behaviour.

I think she's basically just another corrupt politician. No leader. No heroism in her blood. She goes along to get along.
