Miss California to star in TV ad from conservative group

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Carrie Prejean, the Miss USA contestant from California who famously declared her opposition to same sex marriage on the pageant stage, will star in a new $1.5 million ad campaign funded by the National Organization for Marriage.

>snip<

The National Organziation for Marriage has scheduled a press conference with Prejean in Washington on Thursday to unveil the new ad, called "No Offense."

"She is attacked viciously for having the courage to speak up for her truth and her values," the group said in a press release. "But Carrie's courage inspired a whole nation and a whole generation of young people because she chose to risk the Miss USA crown rather than be silent about her deepest moral values."

According to the group, the ad will call "gay marriage advocates to account for their unwillingness to debate the real issue: gay marriage has consequences."

Gay marriage has consequences???? Such as... equality?????? Oh, how horrible that must be. :eyes:

I knew this was going to happen. I just knew it.

3. National Organization for Marriage???
WTF kind of name is that? I'll bet they're so smart, they thought that name up all by themselves. And where in the world did people this stupid get $1.5 million? Probably from someone equally as stupid and with entirely too much money.

4. Gee I didn't see that coming
The new Anita Bryant.

Now will someone please tell me what Perez Hilton's profanity laced internet tirade accomplished, other than to make her a martyr?

6. "No offense"
Yeah, you're telling an entire segment of society that while they have all the obligations of citizenship, like paying taxes, they aren't quite good enough to enjoy the benefits of that society. But "no offense" is intended. You're just not as worthy of full participation in the society as, say, Britney Spears and her 55-hour marriage to Jason Alexander. Or Newt Gingrich, who so reveres the institution of marriage that he's walked the aisle no less than three times to declare his love for the next ex-Mrs. G.

But, "no offense." See? That makes it all better!

7. "her truth" ?
That explains a hell of a lot about conservatives. Pick a truth, any truth.

10. Don't be afraid to call NOM what it really is, an anti-gay group.
They're not just a conservative group, they are viciously anti-gay.
