Everyone, take a second and think back for a second...
Just think about what press conferences were like under Bush. The silly staggering about. The stupid joke. The inane nicknames.

And now... think about the way President Obama has carried himself.

How there are any Republicans left at all in America is just a constant source of amazement to me.

1. My dear Kerrytravelers!
Maybe, just maybe, they're so dumb they can't help themselves?

2. Watching Obama now, was thinking about the same thing.

And, Bush would NOT have been in front of reporters when talking about congressional and government actions in regard to preparation toward a possible flu pandemic.
McFuckwad would have been behind his desk in The Peoples' White House, lookin' all serious and stuff, pretending he was big and super-reassuring.

on edit:
Could you picture McCain standing up there where Obama is right now, and fielding the questions?
It would be :scared: and  all at the same time!

3. President Obama is class
in everything he does. The way he answers the questions he's asked is reassuring to say the least as is the respect he shows to all

5. Not only that, but Shrub never said anything worthwhile at his conferences!
He certainly never made me feel confident in our government or put me at ease.

Obama has a way of letting us know that he is on top of things, and will do all that he can to get things done.

It is nice to have confidence in a President, again!

6. I could never listen to Bush for more than 5 minutes without becoming
enraged.

Plus, Bush had very few press conferences which was a blessing I guess. Anyone recall the numbers?

7. Dubya gave more in 2007 and 2008 than he had before,
but here are the #s from the first 6 years per CBS:

2001 -- 4 (gee, remember what really big global event happened in the 3rd quarter of that year?)
2002 -- 4
2003 -- 4 (gee, remember what really, really big event happened in the 1st quarter of that year?)
2004 -- 5
2005 -- 6 (gee, remember what really, really big event happened in the 3rd quarter of that year?)
2006 -- (a whopping) 9

I think he gave about a dozen in '07 and another dozen or so in '08.

8. Thanks.
I always felt Dubya treated the press corp like a guy who owed them money.
