We ask him if you won the election, and you seceded, what would you do if the United States government sent your son to stop you? Would you be willing to kill your own son? Because that's what we're talking about if you start another Civil War -- brother against brother. That's when he relates the following story.

One day, he's in his room arguing with his son (his family tries to talk him out of his extreme positions), and finally loses it. "He literally attacked me," Horsley says. "He weighs 220 lbs like a Bulldog and said 'Don’t say another word!'"

The second time his son slammed him down, when Horsley got up, he had a pocket knife out. "My son looks at me and says, 'So, it’s life or death, huh?' and I said, 'Yeah, life or death son. Don’t come back until you’re ready to apologize to me.' The point is, I was one foot from killing my own son, or hurting him really, really bad. If he would have attacked me again, I would have stuck him. Or cut him or sliced him or done something to stop him. That's the point, you hypothetical has literally already been worked out with me, and that’s what makes me different from the other candidates for Governor. They understand I’m not like no politician they have looked at, ever. I am prepared to do a John Brown. I’m not prepared to do an Abe Lincoln and talk out both sides of my mouth and try to get a majority together. I’m looking for the people who are prepared to go with me and take over the foundry, then set up shop and prep to fight to the death. I’ll do it."

Creator's Rights Party candidate for governor, Neal Horsley, who is running on a secessionist platform, is asked if he's serious enough about it to be willing to kill his own son if the US army were sent to prevent secession.

My dad (born and raised in the backwaters of KY) would use this when he'd run into someone too stubborn to learn a common sense lesson that was right in front of them. It is obviously a very old little ditty:

Things like this remind me to always focus on progressive movements; to focus on constructive, productive, positive actions and opinions that build a country. Liberal extremists are guilty of a lot but in-sighting violence is not one of them.

Look at this man's actions due to his ideology; he would kill his own son. A tree is known by it's fruit and this man is obviously wicked.

10. Life outpaces fiction again

I've had an idea on the backburner that if I ever had the opportunity to write a "TV Crime Drama" I'd have an episode where a nutjob Christian serial killer used a "Wobble headed Jesus" to decide life or death to his victims. Among various things he'd do would be to have a scimitar and burst into a house to kill the family for their pocket change and as he bursts in ready to slice them up he'd say "-For I have come with a sword to divide families!!!"

For the encore that introduces the next episode I'd have it fading from the Fuzz going "Well we stopped one Christian, but how many more are out there...?" Then there'd be a guy who wrecked a car on a country road. He'd follow a crude sign to some backwoods and then be startled seeing a US$100 (silver note and very ragged) fluttering under a tree and he'd go to grab it. Then a huge improvised meat hook (welded together sharpened rebar, almost a boat anchor) would come down and impale him. As he gurgled and struggled dying a grossly inbred clan of hillbillies would come out salivating and holding knives and such to butcher him. The patriarch (deliberately looking like the preecher man from Poltergeist II) would say; "See, my family, the rightness of the word? For the good book doth say; Follow me and I shall make thee Fishers of MEN!!!"


Now, if I got this on the air, it'd probably be it's only showing and last season. It'd make "The book of Daniel" look uncontroversial. They'd say, at the very least, I had a rather "unfair" view of "Good Christians"...


Now RL again puts nutjobs that'd make my fictitious characters look mild. And ones that while extreme, do get many supporters.
