I order supplies for my department on a monthly basis

Yesterday, I ordered various office supplies which included hand sanitizer, clorox germicidal wipes, and disinfectant spray. I normally receive all items the next day. Well the confirmation slip showed that the hand sanitizer, clorox wipes and disinfectant spray will be backordered 3-5 days. Is it because they need to restock or are they sending these items to Mexico?

I read that they can't keep up with the local (US) demand for surgical masks as well.

4. Hopefully you have Lysol. Spray that on your working surfaces on the

phone mouthpieces. Sounds silly but got us through the "flu season" a few years ago with only one or two mild cases to report.

5. funny thing.. those are useless against a virus

I suppose if you didn't have access to water, that you could use them, but a wet paper towel would be just as good.

I see Lysol advertises it kills the flu virus, but I have my doubts.

9. Some fly-by-night company trying to make an opportunistic buck

called my office yesterday trying to sell some sort of expensive wall-mount hand sanitizing system. Given that we already have lots of soap, water, paper towels, molded surgical masks, and Roccal disinfectant, I politely declined.

We already "do" sanitation here, all day, every day. If we had a truly killer flu I would be well-prepared. I think we even have duct tape and plastic sheeting put away somewhere, lol.
