1. Uh, yeah. I don't think anyone but Freepers have suggested
that 60 Democrats in the caucus will suddenly turn the entire Senate into aggressive leftists.

4. The thing about Specter is
he's incredibly intelligent. We don't agree, I'm sure with his initial effort on the Warren
Commission and the Anita Hill teardown but he'll have his way frequently. That trick with the
U.S. Attorney's was outright damaging. But hey, stranger things are happening.

5. Actually Miller
didn't change sides officially did he? He's one of them hard core racist assholes whose entire family voted Democratic because the Republicans were the party of Lincoln and therefore were the party that got rid of the cheap farm labor enjoyed by ol' Zell's grandpappy. Zig Zag Zell has never been able to think for himself so I don't believe he could come up with the concept of really switching parties, deep down he's hoping for a bit of the old time Democratic Party.

I can only imagine the ghosts of Zell's family and the grave spinning going on because their once "great" party is now being run by an incredibly smart black guy. That stuff makes me smile, I love to see inbred assholes of Zell's stripe get all pissed off because the rest of the world has passed them by.

9. Did not know all these juicy details about Zeller and his
Family.

Can't say it now makes his motives crystal clear, but it does shed some light on him. Thanks!

and holding off judgment until I see whether or not he going to be a new dem stick in the mud. As for the big agenda, after the last 8 years, anything is something.

16. He's a danger because he's too damn smart
I think he just gets bored sometimes and causes big fuss. His vote on impeachment was a classic,
something about the Scottish parliamentary system. Good lord, the guy says anything and gets away
with it.

But just remember these two words - Anita Hill

rest of the country. Time to celebrate. After WWII, in the UK, street parties were put on by the parents for their children. There's plenty about them on Google, but here's a photo:

http://www.edinphoto.org.uk/0_g/0_groups_and_outings_colinton_streeet_party_1945.htm

In early part of the last century, the dukes and most of the rest of the aristocracy complained bitterly when Lloyd George raised their taxes (and created some new ones!) to provide for social reforms, including the old-age pension. On that subject, David Gilmour, Kipling's biographer wrote, among other things, the following: "Another part of the Lloyd George 'gospel' could be defined by the question, 'Why should we be beggars with the ballot in our hands?'" Quite a slogan.

20. Just two tasks
He'll have to reveal the sealed evidence of those tapes Anita Hill said he had and he needs to
bend on one knee, call Hill on his cell phone and repeat this exactly, "I was an arrogant ass and
I apologize for attacking you with no basis whatsoever. I am very sorry but not worthy of having
my apology accepted."

Seems reasonable.
