“An Ohio Republican leader has taken down photos he posted on the Web of a bald Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter next to hairless Dr. Evil from the “Austin Powers” movies,” the Associated Press reports.

“On his blog, Hamilton County GOP Chairman Alex Triantafilou commented on Mr. Specter’s decision to switch from Republican to Democrat and used a photo from when the senator lost his hair during chemotherapy.”

“For those that think that the party ‘left’ Specter, they’re not paying attention,” he wrote in a post which has since been taken down. “Specter is not a moderate. He is a liberal. He is certainly not conservative. We’ll be better off as a party when we stand for something that matters. Sen. Specter stands for nothing.”

9. Contessa was clueless on this on MSNBC today.

She put up a picture of Specter as he looks now and one of Dr. Evil and said "I just don't see it" or words to that effect. No indication that she remembered what Specter looked like during his treatment.
