1. No. What ridiculous proposals.
Neither of them has any judicial experience. BOTH of them have HUGE political value. The effect of a court appointment would be to politically silence them forever.

Stupid idea. The only level on which it works is as a Rovian revenge plot.

2. you are joking - right?
Smacks of partisanship - at the expense of a progressive judicial appointment.

3. Neither one of them is qualified for the Supreme Court. Obama
will pick an accomplished jurist and legal scholar and it will likely be a woman. Interesting that barely into his Presidency, Obama now faces another historic challenge.

7. What are the supreme court qualifications?
I wouldn't pick them; that said, I don't like the "is this person qualified" arguments we hear all the time in politics.

4. Nothing would be worse than
starting a precedent of appointing partisans to the court. Ideology and a record of outstanding constitutional jurisprudence is and should be the basis for appointment, not political name recognition. Who would want a bunch of compromised political hacks on the court regardless of their party?

8. Sure its a joke
As long as we are joking about who should be appointed I have no specific candidates in mind but assuage as many groups as possible I think President Obama should find a very qualified, Hispanic woman that happens to be a lesbian to fill Souters seat. Only because I like to see conservatives heads explode.
