Should Obama have stayed out of the Swine Flu Pandemic Situation?
Not my question. Question posed by Dennis Neale on CNBC. He thinks that the Health Organizations should have just handled it (which they are) and been the only ones to comment on it.

What a friggin' moron. Yeah, the President of the United States, and the Leader of the Free World should say nothing about, nor address in any way, a World Wide Pandemic Viral Infection.

Jesus.

1. Problem is that we were missing the HHS, so Obama had to deal with it so the CDC could get an
appointment.

2. Fineman and Olbermann were saying the same thing yesterday.
Mostly Fineman.

I have to respectfully disagree. My grandma felt better hearing that everything was fine, and that everything was being handled.

3. They're just filling the hours on air. How about that expression they all use...

...to keep a story going:

"How worried should we be that (fill in the blank)?"

4. Be easy on them. They're still getting used to a president who...
doesn't spend 25% of his time clearing brush and ignoring his job.

Obama has already given 3 press conferences in the first hundred days. Anybody remember how many Bush gave in his entire 8 years?

6. It's called leadership. It's what presidents are supposed to do.

He is the face of government to the American people. He's not mirco-managing nor getting in the way of the agencies dealing with the situation. Darth Cheney would be at the CDC right now trying to make an Al Quaeda connection to the flu.

Then again, he could be doing this:

8. Obama has a lot of nerve acting that way. Does he think he is
President or something to be getting right in the middle of this?
And the extreme things he said! How dare he say we should use common sense! We are America, we don't have to use no common sense.
Wash our hands? He wants us to act like Pontius Pilate, plagued with guilt? If we haven't done anything bad why should we wash our hands?

Or put another way...Obama has said just enough in a calm and sensible way. It is a good thing
