6. Looks like only certain protesters get the wall-to-wall coverage treatment
And even at that, our local ABC affiliate had to deal with about four days' worth of "Why didn't you give the tea-baggers any coverage" nonsense. The anchor, after reading these e-mails for a few days on the air, finally got a little exasperated and said emphatically, "We DID cover the tea baggers, with live reports from here in town, down at the state capital and over in the eastern part of the state."

In other words, just working the refs (the media) for their astroturf demonstration wasn't enough for the tea baggers, they had to immediately whine that there was no coverage, and that there was a big media conspiracy to deny that all these dozens of citizens were being silenced and ignored.

Well tea baggers, this "coverage" here is what media silence and deliberate ignoring looks like.

16. Lack of coverage is a reasonable complaint for the enormous anti-war rallies
including tens and hundreds of thousands of people that completely escaped the media's notice. Lack of national coverage is not a reasonable complaint when the number of protesters is in the dozens.

13. You know what's ironic about the arrest of the protestors?
The exact same criminal offense, blocking traffic and whatnot, was used against women suffragettes in the 1910s.

15. That's not ironic at all.
Protesters often like to block traffic as part of their protesting. That's like saying it's "ironic" that a baseball game tonight had some strikeouts in it, when a baseball game in 1926 also had some strikeouts in it. "Ironic" does not mean "completely expected."

14. 100 people is insignificant.
This week I attended a larger rally in support of a principal at a local school who had been wrongly suspended. You can't expect to hold a rally with 100 people and expect the world to take notice of your "demands."

I mean, come on. We've mocked the teabaggers for being proud of the size of rallies ten times as large.
