My Supreme C Pick -Charles D. Swift
Edited on Fri May-01-09 05:48 PM by KellyW
Lieutenant Commander Swift argued and won Hamdan v. Rumsfeld in the Supreme Court. He was forced out of the Navy because of his commitment to justice, the Constitution and his client. At 48, he could serve on the court for a long time.

2. Thats right
judicial integrity or competence have nothing to do with a Supreme Court nominee. Just make sure all of the political interest group boxes are checked before we consider that as qualification of a nominee.

3. Oh what BS
I suppose that means there's no competent woman, black, Asian, Hispanic, etc. in the whole damn country who is capable of sitting on the SCOTUS? Try looking outside your own narrow view of the world once in a while. You might be surprised it's not completely populated by white men.

4. Oh what BS
I never insinuated in any way that there were no competent women, black, Asian, Hispanic, etc candidates for the court. But limiting the selection to a candidate solely because they are a women, or Hispanic or Black, or Asian or whatever is just as stupid as limiting the selection process to white male c
Christians. I want the best qualified individual for the Court. period. I dont really care if they are Female, Hispanic, Asian, White etc, as long as they have the experience level and integrity to sit on that high bench.
