4. Many of them were literal witch hunts - people were convinced that covens of Satan worshipers

were abusing and/or murdering infants and children. In those days before e-mail, rumors spread by official looking faxes passed around from one small town police department to the next.

On edit: I recognize that Wiccans are NOT Satan worshipers, I merely want to describe the mind set back then.

Irony alert: some local kids were fooling around spray painting pentagrams on the back walls of stores. The pastor held a public meeting to discuss people's fears. Instead of calming things down, he repeated all the lurid stories of Satan worshipers and warned parents to protect their children from kidnappers. Guess who was later de-frocked for inappropriate contact with under-age males?

2. I was glad to see this documentary.
I hope the media will follow up with documentaries exposing the persistence of recovered memory therapy, as well, and how it destroys families and lives and sucks millions in disability and healthcare costs.

Most people have no idea of the extent to which recovered memory garbage continues to infect the mental "health" system. They have no idea how many people are still being taught to claim dissociated identities and histories of ritual abuse, based on memories created in therapy.

3. Thanks for this
People need to be reminded that whilst pedophilia (paedophilia and ephebophilia) is real, the fear of it's ubiquity is largely manufactured.
