Swine flu might be a conspiracy... video proof inside *fake masks*
Edited on Sun May-03-09 05:20 PM by TwixVoy
Guys before the reactionary "conspiracy theory" post please keep in mind that I generally do NOT support such ideas.... nor do I post that there is a conspiracy about anything.

I have been watching a person on Youtube for months. He always posts about the economy. He drives around the country documenting the part of the country that have been hit hard. He has been doing this for months. I have NEVER seen him make a video about a conspiracy, or make any videos that seem "far out there". His focus is entirely video documenting economic events. If you look at his video history you will see he is legit, and has only been going around the country recording places like Detroit from an economic stand point.

Anyway - recently he made a video saying he was interested in documenting the swine flu. So he went to Mexico with intent of doing a video recording of the sick people, etc to document it. His first videos were expecting to find people sick, he was worried about getting sick him self but he wanted to document this.

I was watching his videos earlier. Today he posted two which are VERY interesting. I will link all of his videos in Mexico in this post. I STRONGLY suggest you watch them in order, and then watch the last two. He could be completely wrong, and I would be interested in peoples opinions.... but please WATCH this footage before coming to conclusions. I don't THINK he would waste his time and money going from the Northern United States doing a video series on Detroit to traveling to Mexico just to make a bull shit series of videos.

1. It is not a conspiracy.
I give kudos to Mexico for being as upfront as they have been. They took a big hit economically for doing the right thing.

Swine Flu Pandemic? It Feels Like a Phony War

John Crippen is the pseudonym of an NHS doctor who writes a popular medical blog. This is his account of the view from the GP's surgery

Oh! God, now I know it is serious. The Health Protection Agency has sent me an algorithm to tell me how to deal with swine flu. It arrived today in an email with one of those red exclamation marks at the side. An algorithm, for those who don't know, is a "finite sequence of instructions, an explicit, step-by-step procedure for solving a problem". It is very complicated. I do not understand it. Fortunately the primary care trust has also sent me a red exclamation mark email with instructions I can understand: "The main message remains: always use a tissue to catch coughs and sneezes, throw away used tissues and regularly wash your hands."

I can relate to that. Trouble is, it makes me giggle. I can't get that old jingle, from somewhere in early childhood, out of my mind. "Coughs and sneezes spread diseases, trap your germs in your handkerchief." It has rhythm. It is best recited in a "Mail train" monotone. Lovers of Tony Hancock will want to sing it to the tune of Deutschland, Deutschland über alles.

Doctor, you're not taking this seriously. Actually, I am. We have all read our way through the mountains of circulars that have arrived. We are having a daily practice meeting. We have one partner designated to take all the "flu"-related calls so our advice is consistent. Yesterday we had two such calls: a patient just returned from Turkey who had diarrhoea and wondered if it could be flu, and an elderly lady wanting advice about her husband who has respiratory problems. Should he be started on Tamiflu? Simple answer: No.

Today, so far, there have been no calls at all. We have 15,000 patients and are close to one of the larger airports in England, but have not seen a case of flu. We have not had a single patient worrying that he or she might have flu. It feels like a phoney war. We have seen two patients with heart attacks, three acute asthmatic attacks, and a child who had swallowed an implausibly large piece of Lego. Such is general practice.

We met at lunchtime, not to talk of heart attacks and Lego, but of flu. There have been deaths in Mexico. There has been one in the US. Our Indian partner said: "There were 2,000 deaths, mainly children in Africa and Asia, yesterday."

Our medical student looked shocked: "I didn't know swine flu had reached that part of the world." "It hasn't," said our partner. "I'm talking of deaths from malaria. But that isn't news, is it?"
We were silent for a while. Time to get things in proportion.

9. Note that 'phony war' is a specific phrase in Britain
used to describe the first few months of World War 2 during which, despite Britain and France being at war with Germany, neither side actually did very much against the other (certainly in comparison with World War 1, with which it would have been compared).

He's not saying that swine flu is completely made up; he's saying that it's not actually having an effect on the day-to-day cases a typical British GP sees, despite all the talk and preparation for it.

We can’t get hands on flu drugs say London doctors
Sophie Goodchild, Anna Davis and Peter Dominiczak
29.04.09

London doctors are struggling to cope with suspected cases of swine flu because of a lack of basic resources, it was claimed today.

The Health Protection Agency was accused of “not living in the real world” as it emerged pharmacists have been left without stocks of anti-flu drugs.

Patients are unable to get anti-viral drug Tamiflu on prescription because only a few chemists have stocked up.

Health trusts are understood to be releasing their own stockpiles of the drug today to “designated” pharmacies. But this comes several days after NHS Direct received the first reports of suspected cases in the UK.

Officials also admitted that a national flu helpline for distributing Tamiflu will not be ready for months.

8. I don't get it personally. The way the authorities been acting, you'd
think that flu was ebola (90% fatality rate). Closing down schools over possible cases of flu?
Seriously, what gives?

11. It is one of the more simple ways of decreasing
spread. Get a bunch of kids in close proximity and have one with the flu infect the lot, they go home and infect their families. The parents go into work and infect their coworkers. Besides washing of hands, keeping large groups from assembling esp where there is known infection like the flu is one of the basic public health means of curtailing spread.

12. I can answer that ...
When an outbreak occurs that starts 'breaking the rules', such as how those who were dying in Mexico were young and healthy (as opposed to the normally old and infirm), it is fair to question HOW virulent the agent might be, and what extraordinary measures might be needed to protect the general population ...

Sure: If you hear about the flu, you worry about body aches, fever and respiratory ailments - But when you hear the 'flu' is causing youthful, otherwise healthy people to 'drop dead', well, it is prudent to make sure you KNOW what you are dealing with ....

The monday morning quarterbacking on this is rather weak ....

videos, and although I have heard the arguments for a conspiracy for this H1N1 flu, I just don't believe them.

So, I'm not saying you are wrong, but I doubt you are right, and there is already so much fear and tension in our lives right now, I wonder why we have to add this?

You are such a smart person. So many of your posts I have benefited from and admired.

15. How many minutes will we have to watch to get the claim?
and would it be possible for you to summarise it in a paragraph instead? Does 'fake masks' mean that people are wearing masks that won't do them any good? Is it a claim that it's a conspiracy to kill people with the flu, or what?

16. Him using Alex Jones as a source on some things does not help his cause any
And up until video 5 he seems to think the flu is going to go really bad, then says it is bunk - without delving into why very much.

Just my 2 cents.
