Senator Baucus - "I'll ask for the police to please, please come more
Edited on Tue May-12-09 07:37 PM by slipslidingaway
expeditiously"

From today's hearing on healthcare reform when SP advocates were once again not invited to speak.

They voted today to have the next three hearings in closed door sessions...without one objection.

All options are NOT on the table and they are trying very hard to make sure insurance companies maintain their profits.

9. Seriously, what's the price for getting a seat on that panel?
Edited on Tue May-12-09 08:08 PM by Canuckistanian
A few thousand? Ten thousand?

Senator Baucus must have a price.

If there's going to be "pay to play", should there be a standardized procedure?

5. What does it take to recall a Senator on the take? Conspiracy to defraud the American public?
I thought the bu$h administration lost the election. Or am I wrong?
Yeah, yeah, I know Baucus is supposed to be a Democrat, but he sure has been studying the republican way of doing things.

discussed.

6. Uh, Baucus - you seem to forget that you represent the people of Montana
not the people of Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, United Health Care.

I'm hoping he'll be primaried out and replaced with a more progressive person.

12. Where are all the wealthy "progressive" people and groups...
Who could be buying air time in Montana to let the people there know who buying off Senator Baucus, and what exactly it means to them?

Oh that's right... Wealthy "progressives" only like to talk about how progressive they are, especially when it comes to their Chic Special Interest. When push comes to shove, they are still okay with class warfare, as long as they are winning.

15. Single payer is not an option.
Obama doesn't want it and neither does Congress. We The People are the only ones who want it, and we don't count.

16. If that's true, and it's really getting hard to dispute it...
then I shall not vote to re-elect my Representative, either of my Senators, or the President.

23. I'll support the candidates that support single payer,
prosecution of war crimes, prosecution of Wall St./bankers (and anyone else who deliberately trashed the economy). Oh yeah, those who will restore the Constitution will get my support, too.

22. Well, I live in SC, so I really don't have any representation in
Congress, but the President is a different matter. I'll weigh the good against the bad when the time comes and then vote for the candidate that I think will do the least harm.
