Don't Let Corporate Interests Cut Your Paycheck, take action now.
Corporate interests should not be allowed to use taxpayer dollars to cut paychecks and drive down living standards for working families in communities across the country. But that is exactly what will happen if corporate interests prevail in keeping family-supporting Davis-Bacon provisions out of the Water Infrastructure Financing Act now pending in a U.S. Senate committee.

Join LIUNA’s I Build America activists across the country by telling your Senators: The workers who build America deserve decent paychecks.

The Water Infrastructure Financing Act will invest $38.5 billion to build America’s drinking and wastewater systems both of which are given a D- grade by the American Society of Civil Engineers. However, corporate interests are pushing Senators to vote against an amendment to include Davis-Bacon provisions – provisions in place since 1931 that ensure that taxpayer money is invested in good jobs and unscrupulous contractors don’t drive down local wage standards and shortchange taxpayers with lowball bids.

America needs these jobs to help turn our economy around but that will not happen if community standards are driven down. Join the ranks of I Build America activists by sending a message now and receive a unique hardhat sticker to recognize your effort.
