Thanks, you made me smile! When I was growing up we had an old friend who was a Russian immanent, Jake. Damn he ALWAYS had a beer in his hand and could cuss a blue streak that would turn a truckers face red. When he got going on the subject of politics there was no stopping him and his contempt for the R's. His best line was always..."you can call every nasty name you can think of and I'll sit and take it but call me a republican and I'm gonna kick you ass!". And as drunk as he was he would have too!

But it's not so much fun now that everybody's doing it, especially when it's "former" Republics like my sister and her husband who don't remember ever having been Republics, supporting W* or the war on Terra. Now they want me to validate their conversion by listening to them complain about those of their friends who haven't crossed over to the light yet.

With a growing lack of Republic foes and no fresh meat in sight, we're going to be turning on our own. However, the Dems who voted against credit card interest limits and those pushing for a corporate solution to health care costs seem to be at least as worthy of our wrath as any Republicon, so it's not all bad. We're on track to pick up more (R) seats in 2010 and 2012, so we may as well shed some corporate (D)s along the way.
