The USS USA is well and accounted for, her new captain is gently nudging her prow to the port (front to the left) while the remains of the tempest just past push her rudder to the starboard (pushing the rear end right, which makes the front turn faster to the left)

May i sicken all with another analogy? He is a poker player, or bridge more appropriately... He IS three steps ahead, even of us... He is making sure, as his people root out hard evidence, that he has the goods... He is playing the big picture, letting it slowly come out so Cheney can big mouth how torture was effective and then let it out that he tortured for justification for an illegal war, all the more damning...

Barack Obama is a very smart man... He is also intellectually curious... I honestly doubt that there is anything political generally assumed here on DU he was not familiar with prior to inauguration that he does not now have insider information on...

Seems like classic good cop/bad cop to me... It will take time, be patient... it cannot appear to be a political witch hunt, there is still a middle 35-40% who learn by 20 second sound bites...

I like our guy in the WH! He has made many under the radar changes undoing bushco and is playing a close hand on major changes, and allowing bushco to bluff on their criminal activities...

Just my humble opinion, I hope I am close to correct...
