Update Re: My Family and I will be Homeless in a few Weeks.

First and foremost, my deepest thanks to all of you whom responded to my Previous thread from Wednesday the 13th with this same title. A few of you sent some much needed $$$ to my PayPal account on the suggesstion of anothjer DUer, we've had words of encouragement and support...and many ideas. We've made contact with a fellow DUer who lives here in Maine and she might be helping us out as she's very willing to do. A perspective employer for my wife has stated that he'd be (reluctantly on both of our family's parts) let us stay with his family for awhile. The reason for the reluctance is the idea of 7 people in a 2 bedroom apartment. We have possibilities that we need to explore, but I still think it more than likely that she my wife and son may end up in Pennsylvania for the summer and I may wind up in the shelter hoping for a quick approval for Section 8.

We'll keep you updated. It seems that we have several options that are either bad or at least less desireable than others we would prefer, such as not being in this situation. We must have conversations and pick a course of action and we must do it soon.

Again, Thank you for your support and encouragement in this heartbreaking and difficult time.

We're meeting with our pastor on Tuesday to see if he might be willing to let us stay in one of the empty rectories for the summer until we can get on our feet and find a place.

my grandparents housed 3 kids, great-grandpa, exchange students in a little bungalow w/ 1 bathroom.

We're trying any option to avoid being separated, which is something that none of us wants.

If I wind up in the shelter and they in PA though, we will have a wonderful reunion by the end of the summer.
