I just completed my act of defiance of Obama's lawyers.
I gave them the finger by contributing to the Wilson Support Trust. I feel better now.

1. Good for you!
Although it seems like a losing proposition these days.

Just another thing to remember when someone asks you "what was so bad about the Bush government?"

2. I can't let them change me.
I have to live with myself.

3. I guess that's all any of us can do
At least you can say you DID something instead of relying on a corrupt system to do it for you.

5. What does the Justice Department..
have to do with an appeal? Isn't it up to the court to decide?

6. Beats me. I guess they want to show their unqualified support
to Dick Cheney, I. Scooter Libby, Karl Rove, and any other neoconservative that has abused the executive branch of the United States. Otherwise, WHY DO SO?

Back when I was an Obama delegate, I just couldn't imagine the lengths an Obama administration would go to actively back up the previous administration's misdeeds. This is a civil suit afterall.

9. Thanks, don't mind if I do
but it probably will not make me feel much better.

13. This case is just a carry over from the last administration. Obama's
team has to at least put on a show of support for the government's position. It isn't Obama's position, it is the defense's position. To not defend the government's case would be unethical. Government lawyers are paid to defend the government positions and policies. It doesn't mean they approve of them.

Just asking the court to do something without backing it up is not enough for the court. I don't know what if any evidence was prevented or the quality of their arguments, so I will not judge Obama on this.

Still, it is a good idea to give to the Wilson's Support Trust.
