CNN and other news keep covering the MN teen who refuses Chemo, yet ignores
that the Gov has hijacked the MN budget and gutted Health care funding (with the State Republican's cheering no taxes, no taxes)

which will result in 1000's of children's deaths.

What a joke the news is. over 52,000 health care workers are already starting to be laid off.

With no tax pledge during Gov Tim Pawlenty's 1st term, a Bridge fell down and 13 died.

With the continued no new tax pledge in his 2nd Term the health care, education, and housing bridge is also going to fall but this time there will be many more deaths.

yet was will corp news focus on? A white teenager refusing Chemo treatment.

1. strange ... the media focuses on the white teen refusing health care ...
the media focuses on a white woman whose brain was pudding ...

but a minority kid whose parent's can't afford to pay the bills in Texas? Bush43 said the accountant can make the call to pull the plug ... and the media sits there saying "What ... there's no story there ..."

2. The Corporate Media controls the national agenda - even here on DU....
If CNN, Fox et. al. are discussing it, it must be important. If not, it's probably just a few kooks trying to grind their axes....

3. How did Pawlenty manage that?
Don't the Democrats have an overwhelming majority in the State House and the State Senate?

4. Majority but not enough for override
all the Republican representatives voted party line.

Last year 6 voted for override and they all lost their seats, so they are scared to vote against Pawlenty since he is really controlled by the big GOP. If they vote for the state's needs they loose the huge RNC money. They are letting Grover Norquist dictate how they vote.

So like I said.. they let a major hwy bridge fall and now a human bridge is going to collaspe.

I know it will lead to more Republican loosing their seats in the next election.. but that doesn't help the thousands who will lose their jobs, and the thousands who will die as a result and the millions more in tax dollars we will end up spending.

Cities are already getting ready to increase the property taxes again to help cover the lost revenue that the Gov has cut.

Sadly the local news doesn't cover how the Republican representatives are letting this happen.
they keep blaming the DFL leaders and how they can't get the Republican Reps on board.

It is sickening. The RNC hold the purse strings.
