Right -wing media hyping up Cheney's speech today...
As if it was the finals of the American Idol contest. They are making it a contest of speeches as in Obama vs Cheney? Who will win? Who do the American people support? blah...blah....blah..

Dick Cheney, the apologist and the architect of the torture program, is put on the same level as our President? I call bullshit.

1. I am rapidly coming to the point of supporting neither.
I truly had high hopes. The "Audacity of Hope" indeed. I can honestly say so far I am very disappointed in Obama's stance on many issues he ran and campaigned on, that he has now reversed himself on. Not a single troop has left Iraq and one week left for all US troops to get out of every Iraqi city and I am fairly certain Obama has no intention of living up to that agreement nor the promise of removing one brigade a month from Iraq "beginning on day one"

5. I support Obama too
He's seeing a whole different picture than we get to see. He is a very intelligent person who loves our democracy so I trust that he will do what is the right thing in the long run and the long run is all that matters to me.

3. Good
The more people watch Cheney, the better for us. I think he just gives people the creeps.

4. You may be right?
Cheney's speech today may lay the groundwork needed for an investigation to get started. The Repubs do not want an investigation or a commission of any kind. They have nothing to win.

10. I think you're right.
It continues to surprise me that Cheney will never understand that the more people hear him, the more they hate him, and the more it discredits his positions.

6. The audacity of Dick Cheney...
I'm astounded.

I mean, Dick is no longer in office. Why in the hell is he appearing everywhere in the media--and why is the media
hyping him as if he's some important and influential policy maker who still has influence.

Like a previous poster said, the media is positioning this as Obama vs. Cheney--as if Cheney has as much clout as the POTUS.

Fuck Dick Cheney!! Man, this makes me so angry. That piece of shit needs to go away. Can anyone name ONE former vice
president who would not go away---and kept inserting himself into the media like this?

He's in full PR mode---sending out advances before his speeches and he's got the media working in for him.

WHAT....THE....HELL??????????????????????

8. Time to bring out the shoes.
I would say rocks, but I guess our house has been slagged to glass by the bonfire of our constitution that Cheney's gang of state terrorists have ignited and dance about madly.

Shame these evil clowns with some well-aimed shoes, that should be entertaining for the news cycle and a start to get justice rolling over these rat bastards.

7. Obama will affirm the rightwing media premise that the rule of law
doesn not apply in this case so they want to prop Cheney up as being right and justified in his defiance of the rule of law.

9. I will be using my voodoo doll today, and calling it "Dick Cheney."
Am I going to hell? Do I need to go to confession for the first time since 1973?
